Food is hit or miss. Sandwiches great. Fried fish, yuck (and I love fish). Service is slow. Apps excellent. Took 15 minutes to get order taken and we ordered apps and entree at same time. Took another 15 to get apps then another 40 to get entrees. Some of the servers seem to have no idea what is going on others are ok. The decor could use a dusting and an update. But generally if you're looking for a good sandwich or nice stack of pancakes this place is fine.

The Country House is nothing fancy. It's shabby and the decor can hardly be called that...but it does cater to its customers. This is the kind of place seniors love, because the prices are reasonable, there's a large selection of menu items, and service is great. The place definitely has a local feel to it and breakfast is served all day, so you can't really argue with that.

I was hoping that the reviews for this restaurant were mostly right, and I was dissappointed. We came for breakfast. It is dingy and old inside, full of kitchy knicknacks, and quiet as a tomb. The service was fine, but the food really left something to be desired. I opted for a veggie scramble, because it sounded good, but was honestly a let down. mushy home style potatoes, and a massive amount of broccoli stems, but not much else in terms of veg. The eggs were cooked nicely, but for me thats not enough to save this meal. My husbands meal (eggs benedict) was HUGE, but he said the hollendaise wasn't that great.

Delicious food, excellent staff who take care of their customers. Great kitschy atmosphere with some interesting recipes that are aimed at exciting your taste buds!

Best place for breakfast food in Sierra Vista. We like the cozy atmosphere and really friendly service. Their menu is expansive and covers breakfast through dinner, but I would really stick to their breakfast items... which they serve all day. My fajitas that I got there were good, but had some thick BBQ/Citrus sauce on them I could have forgone. But, hey, you can't win them all.

I always enjoy eating here. The waitress go out of their way and the food has always been exactly how I ordered it. The Country House has a great kitchy atmosphere and a reasonable price.

What do I love most about Country House? Let's start with the fact that it's not a trendy hangout for Gen X, Gen Y and Millennials. I always hear my co-workers and friends making plans to hit up Applebee's, Chili's or Texas Roadhouse...gosh, I'm tired of going out and seeing the same people trying to be cool by hanging out with the same old "in" crowd at the same old "in" place. Rather hilariously, the regular crowd at Country House consists primarily of seniors. Obviously they know what's up and they're kind of over the need to be trendy. Other stuff I love about Country House: you'll never have an hour wait to get a booth. Chances are you'll walk right in and be seated immediately. It's clean and quiet. The food is good, reasonably priced and the servings are quite large. The staff is friendly. I've never eaten anything here I didn't like, and that consistency is much appreciated. Their chef's salad is especially yummy, and I love their country fried steak. Take your family here and avoid the other places in Sierra Vista that all the lemmings like to frequent. Country House is awesome.

Country house is slightly better than Denny's and comparable in price. I feel I can safely recommend it for any groups of 8 or less. We had a group of over 20 my meal was served cold and 3 people had to reorder because their meals never came.

Went to Country House for the first time this morning, I got the Country Fried Steak (large $2 extra), eggs and home fries and my partner got the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with fries. The country fried steak was good but definitely not large, still no big deal. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was also good. The service on the other hand was quite poor. Not once did our waitress or anyone for that matter ever fill our drinks without us having to ask. As long as the food is good I'll be back. Poor service to me means poor tip.

I love to support the locally owned restaurants so during a visit we tried this place out. Nice atmosphere, homey. The staff is great, fast and friendly. No trouble getting our order correct either. Never an empty coffee cup. The food is good, nothing spectacular but good. The menu has a nice selection. I'd eat here again.
